CALLING ALL CYCLISTS -- YOUR ATTENDANCE REQUESTED

BOSTON CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING
Requesting improved bicycle planning, coordination, and safety

MONDAY NOVEMBER 22
5:30pm – 7:30pm

Boston City Hall  (Iannella Chamber - 5th floor)
Government Center

Including:
* Presentation by the Boston Bicycle Planning Initiative (BBPI)
* Testimony from key Bicycle Advocates in the area

(1) LIVE IN BOSTON? Call your councilor to be sure (s)he attends and 
knows there's a constituency.

(2) BE THERE! Be a part of it! Your presence is critical. City Council 
needs to see diverse and numerous people who value bicycling as a 
legitimate mode of transportation. REMEMBER- as much as we have 
significant gripes, this meeting needs to be POSITIVE and CONSTRUCTIVE, 
this is a step in building a positive relationship with those who can 
help us.

(3) SPREAD THE WORD. (a) forward this email to friends/colleagues, (b) 
email BBPI at riseup.net requesting a PDF flyer you can copy and hang in 
your area, and a PDF quarter-size announcement you can copy and put on 
parked bikes, or hand out.

(4) CAN'T COME? Want to keep up to date on future Boston Bicycle

(5) VOLUNTEER. Looking for folks over the next few days and on Monday to 
stand at high bike traffic areas during the morning and evening commute 
and pass out announcement cards. Also to flyer at high bike parking
