=v= Fast-forward to last night. The police passed out flyers
saying we had to follow their imposed route or be arrested
(which was *not* what the federal court order said). I did not
read the flyer and didn't know this, but we went north along
the route, which was completely lined with cops so that there
was really no opportunity to do otherwise.
=v= Then we were directed back south and the police diverted us
off this route. They did this at various points, apparently,
because we kept running into other multi-masses. Using this as
a pretense, the police swooped in and made some arrests. They
also issued a statement that the riders had made a "breach of
faith" by leaving the route.
=v= The environmental group Time's Up! held an after party, and
the police showed up near the end of it, did some bogus pretense
arrests, and cut and stole some bikes -- in violation of this
court order.
