[*BCM*] drinking on the mass

the idea of trying to restrict drinking during the ride doesn't make much sense. how would we go about doing that? this is an essentially anarchistic event we're talking about. it seems like kindof a moot point and it's up to the individual's sense of responsibility.
i think the safety issue is simply boiled down to are you able to hold a can/bottle/flask/keg/etc and ride. most of us i'm sure have the good sense to not get bombed while riding a bike. i'm for drinking on the mass, frankly because as an over 21 college student, i feel that drinking was more fun when it was illegal, so you need to find ways of making it so. plus one of the coolest things i ever saw on a ride was two dudes w/ tall boys of PBR. hats off. plus it's not like the whole mass is gonna be drinking.
i'm also for the adjournment to a bar afterwards. my friends and i often do anyway, and i'm always hoping i can just call out "let's go to ____!" and everyone will come. so i'm for that. who knows, maybe even some sort of announcement can be made beforehand on the listserv or in copley?

| I think it'd be a nice way to cap off an evening.
