I believe there used to be two "Critical Mass" rides, one that started in
Cambridge and one that started in Boston, back pre-1999. People were
confused about it and turnout was low for both. I vaguely recall attempting
to show up for the Cambridge ride and finding that there was no one there.

Somerville/Cambridge is much smaller than Brooklyn--I think I remember
reading somewhere that if Brooklyn were its own city, it would be in the top
ten for the country. There's a risk of dilution with our smaller population
here.
