whatever method people try for keeping the mass together (group of riders, 
one or two people...), consider that word of mouth/shouting/etc in the case 
of a fallen rider would potentially be much safer than using cell phones.  
just thinking of the unfortunate gentleman who pierced his groin not so long 
ago...
