I don't think he's generalizing too much. We all know that he's right. I
highly doubt any biker has never gone through a red light, or zipped
down a sidewalk. What he doesn't seem to mention is that almost every
pedestrian is also either a cyclist or a motorist or both.
The very moment that car drivers stop running red lights, double
parking, parking on the bike lane, speeding, switching lanes with
signals, turning without signals, and polluting the air I breathe, I'll
start using hand signals.
