Join the Cambridge Bicycle Committee for a leisurely ride through the
streets of Cambridge as part of the city's annual GoGreen Month
activities. The theme of this spring's bike tour is how geography has
shaped the development of Cambridge.
We start at the City Hall with a short talk from Charles Sullivan,
executive director of the Cambridge Historical Commission, at the 1776
historical relief map on the third floor of City Hall (Cambridge
Police will watch over our bikes during the talk). The ride itself
will take about two hours and will include a few short stops along the
way related to the ride's theme. We'll be escorted by the Cambridge
Police Department's Bike Patrol. The ride will end at the Central
Square police station, where refreshments will be provided.
Please arrive at 10am at Cambridge City Hall (795 Mass Ave). The
introductory talk will be at 10:15, and the ride will depart at 10:30.
Rain date May 20, same time. Announcements regarding rain will be sent
to the ride email list and posted at www.cambridgebikes.org. You can
sign up for the ride email list at
There is no registration or charge for the tour -- just show up and enjoy!
