But the city/taxpayers are footing the bill. They should be informed
as to what their money is paying for.
Not only is the city paying for lawyers, but they are also paying for
their police officers to take the stand (in their official capacity,
they do so on the clock) and for everything necessary to run a courtroom.
Both the lying police officers and the overly agressive lawyers cost the
city thousands of dollars on top of the cost to Gus.
