Regarding bike parking shortages and the competition for thefew scarce rac=

 weare left to scrounge for places to park the vehicles that make this con=
tributionpossible.  What we really need is more bike corrals installed for=
mer on-streetparking spaces.  There=E2=80=99s a nice one outside the Other=
 Side caf=C3=A9 onNewbury Street.  Portland, OR and increasingly  San Fran=
cisco have done a beautifuljob with this and Boston should follow suit. =
 We could have a much betterorganized and civilized set up for bike parkin=
g and really enhance our qualityof life.
